We are looking for an experienced, creative benefits professional to build our global employee benefits and perks portfolio while constantly striving to innovate beyond traditional benefit/perks solutions. You’ll learn the ZEO culture inside and out such that you are able to continue our track record of crafting cutting-edge benefits, perks and employee experiences that appeal to candidates and ZEOs. Your work will be instrumental to Zuora achieving its mission by empowering every ZEO to be wildly successful.
This position has three major areas of responsibilities. One is to manage and enhance Zuora’s unique portfolio of employee benefits and perks. Another is to manage and improve Zuora’s employee mobility/relocation and US immigration programs and activities. The third is to be an active contributor to and sometime leader of Zuora’s employee compliance efforts.
You will be responsible for managing mobility queries and serve as a subject matter expert for US immigration requirements and ensure full compliance with US immigration laws. You will advise on specific global immigration challenges, foster new and strategic ideas, and support the immigration hiring process. You will be responsible for educating internal stakeholders, and creating and documenting immigration procedures. You will influence the business, create partnerships, and grow cross-functional relationships.
Shape, launch, manage, and continually improve Zuora’s global employee benefits and perks portfolio and associated policies and infrastructure, including but not limited to programs and experiences related to health and financial wellness, time outside of the office, personal and professional employee development, and FUN.
Play a leading role in understanding and incorporating Zuora’s employment legal/regulatory compliance requirements and guidelines, including but not limited to EEO and VETS-100 filings, Affirmative Action Plans, employee handbooks, and data privacy and retention.
Internalize and apply a customer-centric framework to everything you do, whether it be about benefits, mobility, immigration or compliance.
Design, implement, manage and regularly enhance global mobility and immigration policies, programs and processes, including day-to-day US immigration-related matters (H-1B, E-3, F-1, J-1,L-1, TN/TN-2, extensions, RFEs, Permanent Residency, etc.).
Provide consultative support to assignees and internal partners with regard to the policies, processes, and operations of the Global Mobility program. Act as the home country representative for short-term and long-term assignees.
Establish effective and productive partnerships with internal stakeholders across Zuora, but especially in ZEO Success, Finance and Legal; drive alignment through collaboration and influence. You will need to frequently drive cross-functional initiatives.
Adopt and adapt current best market practices where and when it makes sense for Zuora, always keeping in mind alignment to Zuora’s unique culture while contributing to attracting and retaining the very best talent.
Effectively manage relationships with outside service providers- brokers/consultants, legal counsel, vendors, carriers, etc. ensuring high performance standards.
Develop and execute an effective communication strategy for initiatives and programs.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience plus minimum 5 years of experience with developing, launching, and managing global benefit programs, ideally in a global, high-growth, dynamic, fast-paced, software company.
Strong knowledge of US employment-based immigration required. Specific experience in immigration, relocation, and expatriate management strongly preferred.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Strong vendor management skills with proven success of sustained, cost-effective, customer-centric relationships
A strong understanding of and ability to adapt/apply US, EMEA, and APAC best practices and market data/trends.
Proven analytical skills and a keen eye for detail (you can tell when something’s off, and won’t be satisfied until it’s fixed). You place a high importance on solving problems and errors at a systemic level- not just the symptoms.
Strong common sense and judgment and the confidence to independently apply these to make sound supportable decisions.
Very strong initiative to take the lead in solving problems while prioritizing to focus on the most important ones, and a track record showing how you’ve done this in the past.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the versatility to adapt to diverse audiences across different communication vehicles.
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and groups at all levels within the organization.
