WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The focus of our Operations team is building and automating all facets of our system infrastructure, enabling the entire Engineering Organization to iterate and innovate in the fast-paced Unified Marketing space.  As Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you’ll work in our all-cloud environment; a rapidly evolving and expanding system architecture utilizing Big-Data across highly distributed data collection and messaging tiers. You’ll collaborate with all members of the engineering team, from product inception, through the development lifecycle, and onto supporting a global, 24/7 highly available production operation.
 
 
 

YOUR DAY TO DAY

    • You will utilize your knowledge of Web, App, Network, Server, Storage and Security technologies to collaborate and enhance operations and automation capabilities
    • You will resolve service outages and build automated responses for recurrence prevention
    • You will contribute to the advancement of our chef-based automation platform
    • You will be responsible for overall system and infrastructure operations in our Cloud environment
    • You will work with the team to develop and deploy monitoring and alerting architecture, and implement monitoring/logging solutions
    • You will collaborate with the team to enhance and evolve our Big Data initiatives and their data models
    • You will address security and compliance concerns, in accordance with compliance requirements and policies (HIPAA, PCI, SOC 2, etc)
    • You will work with QA to provide an automated testing platform
    • You will forecast capacity needs and draft resource utilization reports

WHY YOU ARE THE PERFECT FIT

    • You have 5+ years UNIX/Linux system administration, Debian based system preferred.
    • You have extensive experience with continuous deployment (Chef/Puppet).
    • You have some development experience in any language, Perl, Ruby or Python preferred.
    • You have knowledge of Amazon Web Services management.
    • You are experienced with Continuous Integration tools (CI), Jenkins preferred.
    • You have experience with distributed Source Code Management tools (SCM), git is preferred.
    • You are familiar with Splunk.
    • You are excellent with follow up and time control skills.
    • You have strong customer service skills as well as a demonstrated attention to detail.
