We are looking for someone to be a subject matter expert and lead security oversight for architecture decisions, product designs, code reviews and implementation details to ensure a low risk product deployment and testing security posture validation.  As a key contributor, this role is engaged in network security architecture, design, planning, assessment, and implementation. In addition, the position will serve as escalation support for providing recommendations and initiate necessary corrective action to insure information security policy compliance and continuous improvement for security posture. 


    • Perform testing/validation to determine compliance to technology baselines and minimize threat exposure
    • Review/create/update technology-specific security baselines based on best practice configuration standards
    • Communicate risk and mitigation strategies resulting from participation in security technical reviews and related projects
    • Perform penetration testing activities will be focused primarily on IaaS and SaaS applications, but will include the entire Tealium stack
    • Take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. 
    • Balance many tasks and projects in a fast-moving, innovating environment.
    • Use off-the-shelf, open source or custom code to perform rigorous testing against systems.
    • Create repeatable processes for continuous testing and assurance of quality following a proven testing methodologies
    • Deliver self-service security metric data of discovery, triage and trending analysis of team findings.
    • Research industry trends, identify ongoing security threats, analyze new security testing tools, and provide recommendations on the need and usefulness of services and/or products
    • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security solutions and technologies to issues.
    • Function as the lead internal security expert, and provides cross functional view of security for all teams
    • Provides expert guidance to Customer Success and Sales prospects to understand the functional capabilities and security features and limitations of Tealium’s globally distributed, cloud-based SAAS architecture.
    • Ensure compliance with security policies and other industry standards (i.e. PCI, SOX, HIPAA, ISO27001)
    • Serve as an active member of the incident response team by acting as a technical consultant on information security incident investigations and forensic technical analysis
    • Drive the technical implementation and ongoing management of Tealium’s Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools


    • You have 7+ years of experience in network, web, and mobile security
    • You also 5+ years of experience working in Cloud hosting environments (AWS preferred)
    • You have earned a Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related field of study or equivalent experience; relevant, industry recognized security certification such as CISSP or CISA
    • You possess expert knowledge of information security principles, networks, operating systems, web applications and a level of familiarity with malicious code and common techniques used by hackers
    • You have knowledge of high traffic and other cloud-based infrastructures and how they affect security needs (i.e. messaging infrastructure, AWS infrastructure, etc)
    • You have gained a deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking concepts, and services such as DNS, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS
    • You demonstrate expertise with security technologies such as IDS/IPS, NGFW, UTM, FIM, SIEM, WAF, DLP
    • You demonstrate expertise with configuration, scripting, and programming languages such as Terraform, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, and Java
    • You have experience with vulnerability assessment tools and Public and Private Bug Bounty programs
    • You have experience with both Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) and Static Application Security Testing (SAST)
    • You are able to self-manage including planning, providing status updates and metrics
    • You actively participate in the security community through open source contributions, security talks, or other efforts
    • You have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, as well as outstanding oral and written communication skills
